Google unveils Project Glass

Google has revealed a set of augmented reality glasses that the company is working on that will put pretty much any science fiction headset technology at user’s fingertips.

The glasses are still in an experimental phase but will be able to take photos, offer directions, and start video chats via a voice interface when they are released to the public.

“A group of us from Google[x] started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So we took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.”

Google has released a video titled ‘Project Glass: One day…’ that details the eventual goal for the project. At the moment there is only speculation about when a working version Project Glass will be demonstrated.
