Apple investigating iPad WiFi issues

Apple is looking in to reported Wi-Fi issues that seem to be affecting some models of the new iPad.

According to 9to5Mac, who have seen and published an internal AppleCare document, the Cupertino company is instructing “contact centers and retails stores” to “capture” any of the affected devices. An unnamed source has claimed that “capturing” the device means that it should be shipped to Apple’s engineering centers for testing. Apple will reportedly be replacing units that exhibit problems.

Only the Wi-Fi only models of Apple’s third-generation iPad seem to be exhibiting poor Wi-Fi reception, which is manifested in several ways. Slow connection speeds, connection drops or the inability to locate a network are among the symptoms listed.
