It looks as thought the world might be getting Teslaquila after all
An April Fool’s Day joke by Tesla and SpaceX’s Elon Musk might have jumped from gag to reality. He’s already given the world hats, flamethrowers, and surfboards in addition to rocket-ships and electric cars, now Musk may be bringing his ‘Teslaquila’ idea to life. We say ‘may be’, but folks didn’t believe the flamethrower thing and that totally happened… branded tequila isn’t that much of a stretch. The original joke concerned an unconscious Musk (a state brought on by Teslaquila and ‘bankruptcy’) and has, since April, morphed into a actual product, apparently. At the moment it’s just “coming soon” but if previous efforts at making alternative products by Tesla and The Boring Company are any indication, this lot’s going to sell out fast the moment it’s available. And then end up on eBay.

Black Ops IV makes $500 million, still manages to disappoint people
It must be hard being Activision. They’ve gotten a reputation for making just a handful of games (very well, if we’re being fair), with Call of Duty being the annually-renewed crown jewel of the company. With good reason. Activision has posted some very good numbers for Call of Duty: Black Ops IV, reporting more than $500 million in sales for the online shooter after just three days on sale. That’s more than a few copies of the game sold. And yet… and yet… it seems some people aren’t happy. Those people being stock traders, who have made sure that Acti’s stock took a bit of a dip — because they were expecting even better performance from Black Ops IV, apparently. It seems that setting records isn’t enough for Wall Street. They have to be BIGGER records.

Netflix’s Luke Cage has joined Iron Fist in the cancelled pile
We didn’t see this one coming either, folks. Last week we found out that Netflix’s Iron Fist had been cancelled, and now we’ve found out that Netflix series Luke Cage has also been put in the cancelled pile. Netflix and Marvel said “Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix are grateful for the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series.” Weirdly, they haven’t pointed out whether Cage would appear in other related series’, something that they were very specific about with Iron Fist. Hopefully this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Luke Cage. If it is, we suspect that The Defenders is next on the chopping block.

And now for a little bit of Thronebreaker, the next game set in the Witcher universe
The Witcher series was an amazing experience, and we were very sad when it came to an end. But it hasn’t completely ended, as Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales — the single-player narrative-driven Gwent game — will be taking players back to the Witcher universe. Check out the trailer at the link below for a look at what will be available for PC players this week (and for console gamers in December this year). The story is told via an isometric point-of-view, which brings to mind the first Witcher game, but most of your conflict will be resolved by the power of Gwent cards — which can be upgraded and boosted during play. Our only gripe (for a game that we haven’t even touched)? We won’t be roaming the land as the sarcastic Geralt.
