The re-return of Wolfenstein is nigh, with the game having officially launched across the world yesterday. So far the early reviews have been largely positive, though Wolfenstein: The New Order has managed to update one or two reviewers. If you’re looking for how Stuff feels about the newest outing of BJ Blazkowicz, watch this space. There’s also a fairly new trailer for the game, which shows mostly footage for the cut-scene portions of the title (Warning: some of the language in the video above is NSFW). It comes across looking like a Hollywood blockbuster instead of a video game, which…

Internet service provider MWeb introduced South Africa to FON earlier this year, a WiFi network that allows subscribers to access an internet connection anywhere that FON coverage is available using their MWeb login details. Now, less than six months on, the FON network in South Africa has expanded enough to be visible on FON’s global map. MWeb users who participate in the FON network initiative use specific routers that broadcast an internet signal that can be used by passers-by, provided they’re also MWeb users. The total of WiFi hotspots of this nature in South Africa has now passed 24,000, making…

Meet Samsung’s Galaxy S 5 Active, the rugged version of the South Korean tech company’s flagship smartphone. This is a device that we’ve all been expecting to be announced but it’s not really official as yet. Sony have been testing out their PlayStation Now streaming service for some time, with invitations being issued to some PlayStation 3 users way back in January this year. The company has decided to kick things up a notch and start up the private beta of the service for PlayStation 4 users as well and that leg of the test will be starting up later today. The expanded beta program for the PS 4 will function in the same way that the PS 3 tests did. Users (limited to the US for the moment, sadly) will be sent a voucher code…

Twitter may be looking to expand their internet tendrils into the world of music again, according to a report from website Re/Code. The report claims that Twitter is looking at purchasing SoundCloud, the free online audio-sharing service, citing sources “…familiar with both companies.” There is precedent for Twitter attempting to make inroads in the music market; the company launched Twitter Music some time back, eventually dropping the service earlier this year due to a lack of interest. Picking up SoundCloud would give Twitter an opportunity to re-attempt their musical ambitions with an established customer base. Re/Code does point out that…

We’ve written at some length about HTC’s One M8 smartphone and also given TrackingPoint’s range of smart rifles a closer look but what happens when you combine the two? RatedRR is a YouTube channel that seems to make a living pitting technology against a variety of ballistic weaponry and one of the latest videos has TrackingPoint’s XS1 rifle taking on HTC’s newest flagship device. There’s no doubt which piece of technology is going to win this little bout but it’s still quite something to a) see a smartphone take a pounding from three different rifle rounds and b) see a…

Vodacom and Neotel have come to an agreement regarding the former’s acquisition of the latter, a deal that has been in the works since September last year. Hey, you know what we haven’t seen in… just about forever (we’re talking technology years here)? An actual playable cricket game and we’re not referring to the dreadful Ashes Cricket 2013, which release last year and which we’re never going to speak of again. It never happened, okay? Good.
