The time has come to replace or upgrade your TV and you’re battling to decide which model to get. There’s always the option to pick up a projector, if you’re the sort of person that doesn’t have a whole lot to do with broadcast television but we’re not about to argue the merits of projector vs. TV here. We spend our lives developing habits. Some of these are good ones, others are less than useful but modifying a lifetime of behaviour is quite a chore. Yup, Apple’s gone for bigger screens this time around. At the company’s launch event taking place in San Francisco Apple CEO Tim Cook has taken the wraps off the iPhone 6, which is a little bit larger than the current iPhone 5s. Okay, maybe more than a teeny bit. The iPhone 6 will sport a 4.7-inch, 1,334 x 750 display compared to the 5s’ 4-inch 1,136 x 640 display, maintaining the pixels per inch at 326ppi. They’ve made the iPhone 6 thinner, perhaps assisted by the increased display size. It’s dropped from 7.6mm to 6.9mm. But wait, there’s more. That…

Apple’s pulled a fast one on everyone, not by not announcing their own smartwatch but by calling it the Apple Watch rather than dropping an ‘i’ in front of it. But yes, there is a smartwatch from Apple on the way. The Apple Watch looks to be something that we’d like to get our hands on, as if there was every any doubt, with extensive app support being a feature. The display will show a Home Screen similar to the iPhone by using something Apple calls the Digital Crown, which will “answer the fundamental challenge of how to magnify content…

Samsung makes speakers now, that’s something in keeping with the company’s approach to the tech sector of late where they appear to be trying to seed their products in just about every aspect of the market. At least, when you consider the Level Box mini, a smaller version of the company’s Level Box. Floating Along The Level Box mini is available in several colours, making it something of a…

Driving. There’s nothing like it, especially in Johannesburg traffic which is less of a pleasant excursion and more like a survival trial on the way home from the office. But there is a place that you can go to take to the road, get a little competitive and maybe just enjoy your driving experience without having to worry about traffic cops and suicidal opponents road-users. That place is Forza Motorsport 5, which is set to hit the country at the end of this month when the Xbox One lands all official-like. Forza 5 is all about the cars: how they…
