South African gaming and comic fans, best you mark 14-16 September 2018 in your diary, because Comic Con Africa is coming your way. The event will take place at the Kyalami Convention Centre and feature everything from comic books, competitive table-top gaming, eSports, anime and manga, to fantasy and series lore.
The event is being organised by VS Gaming in association with Reed Exhibitions, the company behind most American Comic Conventions. There’ll also be cosplay, so best you get out that spandex Deadpool-suit and ready up. Or, if you haven’t started work on your costume now’s the time to change that.
According to the organisers, big names like Nolan North and Troy Baker have already confirmed their attendance, but there might also be appearances by a couple of the Game of Thrones cast (please let it be the dragons), and some of the Big Bang Theory cast. Bazinga!
Ticket prices (or where to buy them) haven’t been announced yet, but we’ll be sure to let you know nearer the time. Until then, if you need us, we’ll be practicing our Dota skills and dusting off our sewing machines.
