Star Wars: The Force Awakens is coming with a vengeance, with an in-theatre date of 18 December this year. And this is the newest trailer, which dropped on American television last night, hit YouTube moments later and made every Star Wars fan do his or her collective nut.
And that’s because there are hints of what the story will be about, with Han Solo, Chewie and… was that Princess Leia… standing side by side with the new cast, who seem to be at the centre of a spectacular tale. There’s a new villain, intent on carrying on Vader’s work, and a new hero or two as well. Luke Skywalker wasn’t in evidence but we know that he’s still around somewhere… levitating spaceships on a swamp-planet, perhaps?
I’m about to commit Stuff Towers heresy and admit that I, personally, am not a rabid fan of the Star Wars films. Which makes this trailer all the more remarkable, because there’s no way that I’m not going to see this film. See if you can resist the call of the Force after watching for yourself.
