We’ve been expecting Huawei’s Ascend Mate 7 for some time and it’s finally here. Sort of. Local mobile service provider Cell C has a bit of an exclusive on their hands, with the Chinese company’s newest flagship being available for pre-order at the moment, ahead of the actual launch at the end of this month.
Cell C isn’t offering users that boring old standard edition either. The premium 3GB RAM, 32GB storage-sporting Amber Gold Mate 7 is what they’ve got for users, complete with that octa-core processor setup (that Kirin 925 chip from Huawei). A 6-inch HD display, 13MP camera and 4,100mAh battery should keep things going for a claimed two days, according to the company.
Like we said, the dual SIM Amber Gold version of the phablet from Huawei is available for pre-order now. You can pick it up on one of Cell C’s SmartChat 1GB contracts, with 512MB of data, 512MB of nighttime data and 25 voice minutes for R450 per month on a 24-month contract.
Right now we don’t know what it’ll cost to buy the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 outright but it should be pretty pricey for a Huawei. As soon as we get our hands on one we’ll have a review ready so you know if it’s worth it but, on paper at least, it seems like it is.
