The Batman that most of us know, especially if you are familiar with the past games in the series made by Rocksteady (as well as the cartoons/comics/films), tends to stack the odds in his favour. If that means being sneaky until the few remaining villains are in danger of having their blood pressure blowing their heads off their necks, so be it.
So it’s a bit of a surprise to see this brand new gameplay footage from Warner Bros. for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight, titled ACE Chemicals Infiltration – Pt 1, featuring very little in the way of stealth.
It’s there, with Batman sneaking up on the odd henchman but for the most part there are explosions, people having the back of their heads kicked in from the front and mass destruction of tables and wall-fittings involved in this ‘infiltration’. Oh, and the Batmobile and we’d be lying if we said that we’re not looking forward to driving that one around on missions of random mayhem.
‘Stealth’ aside, the trailer leaves little doubt that Bat-fans will be in for a spectacular time when Arkham Knight releases… in mid-June next year.
