Rumour: LG’s got three new smartphones in the works

It’s only been a few days since LG lifted the lid on the LG G3 Beat, but already there’s speculation about more new smartphones coming from the South Korean firm.

According to the grapevine, three phones are currently being crafted behind the company’s closed doors, with official announcements not too far away. The leak comes courtesy of an import tracking website that identified these new units as entering India.

The specific model names or numbers weren’t identified; instead they’ve been recorded with product ID codes. All three smartphones are said to run on Android 4.4 KitKat, and from what we know now, that might be just about the only thing they have in common.

LG Leak SpecsThe LG D392, which sources say might be the LG F60, is claimed to have a 4.5in touchscreen with WVGA (480 x 800) resolution, a 5MP rear camera, a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor, 4GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM. It’s also said to provide 4G LTE support.

The alleged LG X147 is a 4.3in unit with a WVGA touchscreen, and sports a 1.3Ghz dual-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, a 1700mAh battery and 4GB built-in storage.

The last of the rumoured devices, the LG X132, features a 3.5in screen with WVGA display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 4GB of internal storage, a 1540mAh battery and, just like the LG X147, is said to have only 512MB of RAM.

Considering the specs of these units, if they are indeed the real deal they’ll probably be marketed as budget smartphones. Also, keeping in mind that they’ve already been spotted entering India, they might be launched in the next few weeks – but for now, nothing’s set in stone.
