Now there’s something that you don’t see every day. A fish taking a leisurely drive around a room in its very own tank/car while sitting in the driver’s seat, so to speak.
The fish-steered tank/car is the creation of the folks from Studio Diip and the way it works is actually quite similar to the 3D printer air-hockey robot that we saw recently. A webcam, mounted above the tank, tracks the fish as it swims. Its position in the tank gives the Arduino-powered chassis underneath a direction and the order to go forward.
Based on just how far technology has been leaping in recent years, a motorised fish isn’t out of the question. It certainly beats attempting to take them for a walk.
