Samsung will be releasing a new sort of display on a Galaxy smartphone next year reports Bloomberg. The display will be a “three-sided” panel which wraps around the sides of the phone, allowing messages to be seen from several angles according to the anonymous sources cited in the article.
Samsung has already unveiled the Galaxy Round handset and the upcoming display will apparently be a modification of the technology used to produced the South Korean company’s curved device. What isn’t known is which product line Samsung’s wraparound display will be showing up in, the two sources have said that it might end up in the S or Note range of Galaxy handsets or it could even herald a new lineup from the company.
The three sided display will reportedly be split, with each surface operating independently of the others according to the report.
