Nokia’s first Lumia tablet, the 10.1-inch 2520, has already taken the stage and the smartphone manufacturer has now got a smaller assistant waiting in the wings, according to the Evleaks Twitter account.
Evleaks has a history of leaking device info early and accurately and the new Lumia Tablet, apparently codenamed Illusionist, is expected to be an 8-inch device which will run Microsoft’s Windows RT.
The Verge reports that the 8-inch tablet will ship with an as-yet unknown Qualcomm processor and that Nokia has the device on track to launch at the same time as the Lumia 1320’s launch in “certain” markets in 2014. Nokia seems to have designs on a look and feel similar to the 2520, though the model number will likely be lower for the smaller tablet.
In the same report a 7.5-inch Surface tablet from Microsoft was also mentioned, due for launch in the opening months of 2014.
