Acer unveils the Liquid S2, the world’s first smartphone able to record in 4K


It’s just a couple of days before IFA 2013, but its looks like the folks at Acer have decided to unveil their product lineup, and the first piece of tech in the spotlight is a huge smartphone called the Acer Liquid S2.
The device houses an enormous 6-inch 1920×1080 pixel screen, a 13 megapixel camera on the back and a 2MP camera on the front, LED ring flash, quad-core 2.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage memory.
What makes it interesting is that the Liquid S2 professes the ability to record 4K video, which according to Acer is a first for smartphones.
Due to be launched at the end of October, the Acer Liquid S2 will be available in black and red. Its exact pricing and availability has yet to be revealed.
