Google’s new Nexus 7 available for pre-order overseas

Google’s Nexus 7 refresh has been further outed ahead of an official announcement by the search company. American retailer Best Buy has spilled the beans on the device’s specs by posting pre-order pages for both the 16GB and 32GB versions of the updated tablet.

The pre-order pages detail pretty much everything Google has yet to announced, from the processor to the device’s dual cameras. A 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro 8064 CPU, Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM make up the big three hardware specs but the updated Nexus 7 will feature a 7-inch IPS panel (1,920 x 1,200) with a pixel density of 323ppi, which seems to be in line with previous leaks.

The new Nexus 7 will have a 5MP and 1.2MP rear and front camera, microUSB and SlimPort access and Bluetooth 4.0 support. It will also feature Android 4.3.

The 16GB version of the Nexus 7 refresh is being priced at $229 (R2,220) and the 32GB will cost American buyers $269 (R2,600). Availability has not been announced yet but AndroidPolice has got a video of Google’s new hardware being unboxed, in case you can’t wait for the tablet to turn up somewhere more physical.
