Google doesn’t seem to be able to keep any secrets regarding their upcoming hardware. Though the beans were well and truly spilled earlier this week regarding the updated Nexus 7 tablet, Google has now made an official announcement at an event in San Francisco.
The information regarding the tablet was largely preempted by the Best Buy leak and all of the previously-seen specs for the device are spot on.
The one thing that wasn’t known was availability and Google have corrected that. The States will see the refreshed Nexus 7 launch on 30 July at the previously seen price points for the 16GB and 32GB models.
Other countries will be getting the tablets from Google a few months down the line but South Africa likely is not on the initial rollout list.
