All-in-one desktop computing is all the rage, with space and portability of computers becoming more important than ever. And HP has just released the newest product in their range; the HP Slate 21 AIO, unveiling the new hardware during an event in China.
What makes it special though is that it will have an operating system that not many other manufacturers have taken to installing on their desktop products: Android 4.2.2 Jellybean. The success of the mobile operating system is now being brought into the PC world.
The actual AIO machine boasts a 21.5″ touchscreen, an Nvidia Tegra 4 processor, built-in dual speakers, a webcam and wireless printing capabilities. HP pointed out the multi-tasking functions that Android systems provide, which would allow the user listen to music whilst on the web for example. Having an Android system on a PC will also bring all of the functionality and applications that Android has to an all-new interface.
No release date or price has been specified just yet, but Stuff will keep this in our sights.
