Small details on a mid-range companion device to Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z flagship phone, the Xperia L, have been floating around for a while but Xperia Blog has come up with a few more stats for the handset.
Previous details known about the Xperia L were limited to the the 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and Adreno 305 GPU but the display, storage, camera, OS and battery can now be added to the ‘known’ category as well.
The Xperia L will apparently feature a 4.3-inch FWVGA display at 480 x 854, 8GB of internal storage with microSD support, a 1,700mAh battery and an 8 megapixel Exmor RS camera. The phone will also ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, out of the box.
The Xperia L is definitely a few steps down the hardware ladder compared to the Xperia Z which was detailed back in January this year, but if the pricing is right it should find an audience with those on a bit of a budget.
