BlackBerry’s Z10 touchscreen smartphone is going up some extremely stiff competition, particularly Apple’s iPhone 5 and Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S3.
Sony’s newest flagship device, the Xperia Z, will also boast improved specs that might give the established leaders a run for their money, meaning that the Z10 will have to stack up against Sony’s latest when it releases.
With that in mind we’ve put together the specs for BlackBerry’s newly-announced handsets and compared them to some of the main competition the Z10 and Q10 will face in the smartphone arena.

On paper the Z10 is only outclassed on the display front by Sony’s Xperia Z, which has a far higher pixel density. It isn’t the lightest of phones either but only comes in a few grams heavier than the Galaxy S3. As far as cameras go the Z10 is on par with most of the field, with the Xperia Z outshining the entire lineup while the mid-ranged processor (compared to the listed devices) and 2GB of RAM should have it comparing favourably in the performance stakes. Of course, an on-paper comparison is no indication of real-world performance but Stuff will have the BlackBerry Z10 review live soon that will provide some insight as to whether the competition should be worried.
