Comic fantasy writer Terry Pratchett’s Discworld universe will be jumping on to iOS for the first time with the release of The Discworld Map for iPad, which is currently in production.
Author Pratchett teased the app in a very brief video released on the app’s official website. Little is known about the app itself but it is probably not based on any of the existing titles in the Discworld series of novels if the app’s name is anything to go by.
The app is being published by Transworld Publishers, which is part of publisher Random House, with British developer Agant taking the coding reigns. Agant has previously made apps for other publishers, including two Shakespeare apps for Cambridge University Press.
A date for the The Discworld Map for iPad’s release is unknown beyond the author-teased ‘Coming soon’.
