DStv Mobile has revealed the latest addition to the pay television service’s product lineup, the Walka 7 portable television.
The portable TV set boasts a 7″ display with “enhanced visual and audio quality” and is designed to give users access to DStv on the go. The device will be launching from the beginning of October at Multichoice outlets and some retailers and will carry a retail price of R899.
CEO of DStv Mobile Mark Rayner said “The massive growth in new technologies seen both locally and across Africa has shown consumers’ readiness and appetite for innovative intuitive devices like the Walka 7. DStv Mobile has thus launched the Walka 7 – providing subscribers with a device that has a larger screen and improved battery life.”
DStv Premium subscribers will be able access DStv content on the Walka 7 at no extra charge – other than the purchase of the unit – while the DStv Mobile fee of R49 per month will apply to non-Premium users.
