Specs apparently leaked for Sony’s upcoming A99 full frame camera

It has been a while since Sony released a full frame camera and the latest example to come from the company, the A99, may have had its specs leaked ahead of the expected 12 September announcement.

According to website Sony Alpha Rumors, which claims to have received identical information to Photorumors, the specifications for Sony’s A99 include a 24.3 megapixel full frame CMOS Exmor sensor, a lightweight weather sealed magnesium alloy body (purportedly the lightest on the market at 730 grams), and support for SD and SD+MS cards.

Full HD recording, a new imaging engine, HDMI output and a maximum shutter speed of 1/8000 are among the other apparent specs. The announcement, according to the leak, will happen on 12 September while the camera itself will apparently be available from October this year
