Acer has announced two new Android handsets from the company, the Liquid Gallant and the Liquid Gallant Duo. The two entry-level smartphones are identical in almost all respects aside from the Duo featuring dual sim card support.
The Gallant phones will both feature identical 1GHz processors, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The displays are 4.3″ qHD LCD capacitive touchscreens and the devices will feature Android’s 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
There are the standard options for connection which includes Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11b/g/n WiFi, users can expand the internal memory with a microSD and there is a 5-megapixel camera to round the package out.
Acer has said that the handsets will become available in September this year, first the Liquid Gallant Duo with the Liquid Gallant following shortly afterwards. The company will be showing the phones at this year’s IFA, which is being held from 31 August to 5 September.
