Apple, Samsung CEOs to talk today regarding ongoing patent suit – report


According to a Bloomberg report, which which cites a person “familiar with the matter”, Samsung’s CEO will be contacting Apple’s head in order to try and find some resolution to the ongoing case which has seen both companies accusing the other of infringing on several patents.

Samsung’s Kwon Oh Hyun is said to be having a telephone conversation with Apple’s Tim Cook later today regarding the case with both parties reporting to the presiding judge in the case, Judge Lucy Koh, to try and resolve the matters at hand before the jury begins deliberations.

Both Apple and Samsung have completed their arguments before a Federal jury and the deliberations may begin as soon as tomorrow. Samsung is looking for just under $400 in royalties from Apple, while Apple is seeking between $2.5 and $2.75 billion from the Korean company.
