No doubt the company is hoping to replicate the success of Angry Birds with this physics-based puzzler, which contains over 100 levels across four locations. According to the launch announcement Amazing Alex is “…a set of 35 fully interactive objects just waiting to be set in motion. Fans can set the objects up to bounce, pop, ricochet, bash, and crash into each other and create an elaborate Rube Goldberg device!”
Rovio’s EVP of Games, Petri Järvilehto, said “We’re so excited for our fans to meet Amazing Alex. We’ve taken out time polishing a fantastic game and believe we’re created something fun and accessible for all ages. We’ve had a lot of fun with the game, and we can’t wait to see what our fans come up with!”
There doesn’t appear to be a free version of the mobile game just yet but it can be had on either mobile platform for $0.99 (R8.12). Windows Phone, Mac and PC versions of the title are expected soon.
